film inspiration

I found the film 'step up 3' inspirational as there is a dance scene and the dancers are wearing masquerade masks.

I also found the film 'Vahelsing' inspirational, as there is a ball room scene and it shows what an 16th/ 17th century balls were like

insperation for my mask

I have developed the word bus and it has lead me to traveling. I have always wanted to travel to Venice, it is a beautiful place and has an amazing history. I did further research into Venice and found that it was one of the first of many places to have masquerade ball masks.
I have been looking at some inspiration on how to make a mask and have found this video very inspirational   but I do not think i will use this method to create my mask.

labeling

I have decided to give my garments or accessories a label, this is so people recognise my brand.
This is a repeat of my label, I will print my image onto transfer paper and Then I will heat press the image onto fabric to create multiple labels.

I had to flip my image so that when the image is printed onto transfer paper then heat pressed the image onto fabric the writing will be the correct way round

The image below is of the label heat pressed onto fabric

inspiration

Inspiration
Thomas Heatherwick

In January 2010 Heatherwick's team was commissioned by the mayor of London to design a new London bus. The team created a bus that is both fuelled by electrical and diesel. The bus was launched in December 2011 by the mayor if London, the first three busses that were created started to be used in the early months of 2012. The material is a tough woollen fabric with a non tradition pattern.

The image above is from a book called 'Thomas Heatherwick Making' pages 536 -543

The image above is a working model of the bus.

dear Stephen
I am currently studding at Warrington Collegiate and my project is based on the word Bus, I am currently looking at your work for ideas and I was enquiring if you could give me any information on what types on materials and colour palette you would use.
looking forward to hearing from you

Kathryn Parr

^The email above is the email I sent to Stephen.
The email below is the reply to my email.

Hello Kathryn,

Thank you for your message.
Mr. Wiltshire continues to use Staedtler pens, which vary from 0.05 tip to 0.7, he also sometimes uses chalk pastels to add colour to his work and normal Hb pencils. He likes to use pen more often as he can see the image develop very quickly, shading in areas if needed in pencil.

Thank you for your enquiry, if I can assist you any further do not hesitate to email or call the gallery.

Kind regards,

--

pear assessment

pear assessment

When I was given my Word I decided to ask my friends on 'Facebook' by setting a status asking them what reminds them of the word 'Bus'.

they gave me a lot of ideas to think about and they gave me many different things to look into and research.
